What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid does not cost you a penny more, but can add an additional 25p to every £1 you donate. When IRCF receives a donation from a UK taxpayer, we're entitled to claim an amount of tax (calculated at the basic rate of income tax in that year) paid on that donation. Once you have given your permission for us to do this on your behalf, there is no need for you to do anything else.

All that is required is that you must be a taxpayer and that would have paid or will pay sufficient Income and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover all the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year. Please note that it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

The amount of tax we claim will be 25% of the total value of your donations in that tax year. Furthermore, if you are a higher taxpayer, you are also entitled to claim the difference between the basic rate which we will claim and the amount of tax you have actually paid. For further details on how you can do this, please contact your tax office. If your tax situation changes and your gifts will no longer be eligible for the Gift Aid scheme please contact us and we will amend your record accordingly.

Welcoming new trustees

The Infrastructure Restoration Charitable Foundation welcomes Lisa Saper, Elena Rogers and Simone Hundle-Scheuer to its Board of Trustees.

These appointments strengthen the Board through the addition of experience in governance and evidence-based decision-making, international partnerships and relationship management, and banking, investment and commercial strategy, in line with the Foundation’s charitable activities.

Lisa Saper

Lisa Saper is a values-driven leader and board-level advisor with over 30 years of experience in transformational change, governance and data-driven decision-making, primarily within the financial services sector.

Her professional roles included Director, Transformation Programs at London Stock Exchange / Refinitiv, and Regulatory Programme Director at UBS as well as senior roles and assignments across organisations including Citibank, HSBC, Barclays, Lloyds TSB, Nationwide Building Society, Cap Gemini Ernst & Young and KPMG.

She currently owns her own consulting business, Acme Dynamite Ltd, providing operational and transformation advisory services to both corporates and charities.

Lisa is an experienced Board advisor, embedding ethical data practices, stabilising failing initiatives, and influencing Board decisions with integrity, rigour, and collaborative judgement. She is a Trustee/Director of Folk England, former Treasurer of Blind Cricket England and Wales and has been heavily involved in the Homes for Ukraine scheme, supporting Ukrainian refugee families in the UK.

Elena Rogers

Elena Rogers is a Senior International Partnership and Relationships Manager with over 20 years of experience creating and developing business, social and political opportunities through government relationships across multiple industries, including oil downstream and gas, chemicals, electricity, and agriculture.

Her skills and experience listed include negotiation and relationship-building with colleagues, clients and governmental organisations; project management across the full lifecycle; handling technical and financial documentation; sourcing and buying with supplier negotiation; logistics involving railways and ocean freight; and collaboration with surveying companies for quality and quantity control. Elena is bilingual in English and Russian, with good Ukrainian and conversational Polish and German.

Simone Hundle-Scheuer

Simone Hundle-Scheuer is a senior leader in investment and commercial strategy with over 25 years of experience across global private banking, asset management, and UHNW client advisory. Her experience includes director-level leadership in sales management and investment-related strategic initiatives, as well as UHNW investment counselling.

She is also Founder & CEO of Amma & Atta, an Ayurvedic inspired health-food QSR. Simone is passionate about her humanitarian and purpose led-activities including raising and delivering aid for Ukrainian refugees, raising and delivering aid for Turkish earthquake relief, and volunteering as an end-of-life companion with Marie Curie.
